Upside down - Cyborg Parapets - Spacelords

Some of the parapets that I did for the "Upside dowm" mission from the Spacelord game (old Radiers of the Broken planet)
They are low/mid poly models with custom normals, tiles, trims, blends and decals.
We use decals for weldseams, joints, volume details, dents, leaks, rust, cyborg alphabet, paint stripes, etc.
With blends we cand add more variation to the surfaces, simulating paint worm, adding some rust/dirt etc. Rodrigo Lloret established the necessary pipeline, we used a mask and playing with its hardness we could generate different effects, increasing the hardness we can simulated a rust or paint peeling but if we soften the mask we can add sublte variations to the paint or metal.
Images taken from a visualization and testing scene. We could cycle through different HDRs to see different lighting conditions and see how the assets worked.
Rendered with the Mercury Engine, hdri and with some fill and accent lights. No baked lightmaps or gi calculated.
